OMG OMG OMG

Yep...I can hardly believe it but I am now down 15.2 kg....yes that is 33.44 lbs.  I am back to major restriction with TOM but who cares when I am dropping the wieght like this???

DH is on a confrence all weekend so I went to a trivia night (do you have those in the US/Canada???) and had a ball.  Without DH around to tell me to calm down and what not I was in full swing.  For example I tried soooooooo hard to get a prize that they gave me a free cocktail and I knew more people than my girlfriend who is part of the surf club ...just cause I talk so much....and to anyone.  At the end of the night I was singing with the band and they were my best mates too.....

I have just got home and am amped because I got abused by my daughters netaball manager because I sent out  email about the coach (or lack of one) and was asked to by the president of the club and she was put out because she was the manager and I sent the email.  My friend and I have volunteered to coach but we really don't know netball and I get so annoyed that I am the one just off 6 months on crutches and in a boot and I have to coach the team and I was the manager for the last 3 years.  Well now Gina Hard  Face Bitch (the manager) has resigned probably because I am the coach but why in this society of ours do the same people all end up voluntering again and again and end up get criticised for helping when no one else will do it.   What is the saying...ask a busy person to do it and it will get done.....I have a part time job and am studying and am cripple (to a certain extent!!!!) and I am the coach now because the manager (GHFB) said the team should fold because it was too hard....well I say I will not dissappoint my child by the team folding so it is me that has to put my hand up...so sick of it...thanks for listening.

This is me Yesterday.  I had my hair done...nothing super exciting although it is really blond.
Anyway...I am under 90, have lost my 10% body weight and feel great...besides the netball...ha ha ha.

Thanks for listening and hope you are all well

Fourteen....

Well fourteen point six actually!!!!   Did you all send me losing vibes or something????  Did you tell LB (lil Beauty today :) ) to tighten up today or what????  Whatever....I love you all.
14.6 kg down (32.12lbs) and I am now in the nineties.....just but I AM TAKING THAT!!!!  So a loss of .8kg (1.76lbs)....it must have been falling off me while I was posting.  The other really funny thing that happened was my restriction came back.  You guys are amazing......how do you do it????

I didn't end up eating dinner last night as I wasn't hungry....had a tiny snack of 3 crackers and cheese.  This morning I had my tea....I have to have it ....and at 10.30 had a skim cap while up the shops and was only hungry at 1pm so had some leftover cauli mash and pork strips and only ate if lucky 1/2 cup!!!!

I am so happy I went and looked at some clothes up the shops and bought a Jacket in a size 14....too tight but no point getting the bigger one.  It is a Coco Chanel Type jacket that will go with everything but it cost $150 not sure if I should keep it....also a tunic top which you can wear with leggings and jeans and a nice necklace.  Hubby also told me to get an iPhone...so I did.

Guess I am not feeling too down today.  Still tired though

Thanks so much  for cheering me up.....oh and I forgot to say that the top was a 14 and fit and I am getting the 12 because the 14 will be too big soon.  However I think Sussan run on the large side...however IAM TAKING THAT TOO.....

Talk soon

Feeling Down, Confused and Thankful....

Hi everyone.....I am feeling a little bit down about LB (Little Bitch this week) at the moment.  And that has made me feel confused too.  I am still eating right and although I haven't exercised as my daughter is still sick I am choosing nutritious foods to fill each meal.  I am also super tired this week and feel restless....TOM is approaching so maybe thats what this is all about????

If you remember I have been one of the lucky ones (please don't hate me for this!!!) who has preety much had ok restriction since my operation and even more so after my first fill losing 4kg (8.8lbs) in a month.  After my last fill I was uber tight and had lots of PBing and could barely eat for 4 days until Tuesday this week.  This is why I am so confused....I have been getting pretty hungry and although I still can't eat loads I am not staying full for very long in fact at 3.30 I had a cup of chicken fried rice at Tafe and I was hungry again at 5pm...although I had a cup of tea and now don't feel like dinner!!!  WTF???

So today's eating:

8.45 am 3 rice crackers wit hlite cheese
10.30am strawberries, blueberries and yogurt
12md skim cap
1.30 pm protein bar...I had a sald to have but as we are not supposed to eat in class I had the bar
3.30pm chicken fried rice (last nights dinner)

I had 2 processed things today which I usually never have but being in class makes it a little harder.

Yesterday was:

10.30 am skim cap
12md small serve of chicken soup (chunky with sour cream)
2.30pm Strawberries and blueberries with yogurt
6pm 3/4 cup chicken fried rice
WINE
9pm handful of nuts.

As I am typing this I am thinking that the wine this week and the snack after dinner is not helping but then I have been hungrier.

Confused:  How can I have had good restriction all the way through and now be hungrier?????  Please help.  I don't understand......may be I am not eating as much as I think????

Thankful:  To you all for all those fabulous comments you left (and Cara I KNOW you always post...thanks).  I woke up this morning and I think that is the most comments I have ever had...I feel so loved again and 53 followers....thank you thank you thank you.  Your support, wisdom and friendship means so much to me.  (Off soapbox now)

I am leaving you with a Recipe for Salmon Patties as requested by SandyLee...I love these and have substitued the potato for sweet potato as it is lower GI and it works ok.  I would probably add a grated zucchini or carrot next time for extra vegies as the first time I had a tiny tiny salad with it but as I was more restricted earlier this I wouln't get that in and want to up the vegie intake next time.  You could also add an egg or white as I found them more crumbly with the sweet potato.  Hope you like them

Salmon Potato Cakes

Ingredients

450gm (15oz) Desiree Potatoes, peeled & chopped
1/3 cup frozen peas, thawed
2 x 200gm (6.66 oz)cans pink salmon, drained & flaked
2 teaspoons grated lemon peel
1 Tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons each of finely chopped chives and parsley ( I used dried)
1/3 cup breadcrumbs
olive oil spray

  1. Cook potatoes in saucepan of boiling water for 10-12 mins.  Drain. Transfer to a bowl and mash (I microwaved the potatoes)
  2. Add peas, salmon, lemon rind. lemon juice, chives, parsley and half the breadcrumbs to the potato.  Shape into 8 patties.  Coat patties in remaining breadcrumbs.
  3. Spray a large frying pan with oil.  heat over medium heat.  Cook patties for 4-5 minutes each side until golden and heated through.  Transfer to a plate lined with paper towl (why???  There is no excess oil!!!)  Serve with lemon wedges and salad.  Enjoy!!!!
Each serve is 2 patties plus 2 cups of salad:  (yeah right!!! No bandster could eat that)

C'mon Aussies...lets start this sisterhood thing....

Hi...Just a quick post to say to all the Aussie gals out there that we need to start the Sisterhood of the Travelling clothes here in OZ.

I will start.....

This is a top from Crossroads and I loved it because it hid my big belly.  Size XXL .  It fit me well at 105kg (231lbs)

Worn twice

These are a pair of Target long shorts - wide leg in a size 18.  They come to just below the knees and are a little bit stretch so very comfy.
Let me know if you would like them and I will send them to you.  If any USA or Canadian gals would like them I am ok with that too.  Just leave a comment.

Speaking of comments...if you are reading my posts...please say Hi....I so love comments.  Thanks to those that do.

Onederland!!! (Aussie Style)

Well since it is such an important milestone to my fellow American & Canadian Bloggers I thought I would record what Onederland looks like in kilos....so here it is....

90.6 kg (199.32 lbs)

I just hope it sticks because I had a few wines last night and some nuts, 1/6 protein bar and 6 rice crackers with hommous....why???  Because I am soooo tired and I just wanted to veg out and even the computer didn't interest me and of course there was nada, nil, zip, nuffin' on the tube!!!!  (Don't you love my size 24 PJ pants???  I do....they are so comfy....but my legs are not that thick!!!)

However....in my defense...I think mother monthly is around the corner because I do notice with this band that this is the only time I really pick after dinner....and I felt like chocolate and there was none to be found.

Anyway, not sure why I always seem to lose after having some wine but then the weight also sticks not goes up the next day...maybe the whole lack of calories from being so restricted makes by body hold onto the fat????  And I think I like being able to eat 4 small meals a day...it works for me.  The restriction I had in Canberra was scary!!!

I have been thinking about how last time I was at around this weight I was so depressed.  We were a few months off going to Fiji and I just couldn't believe that I had gotten this big and then had to bear it all to the world in swimmers.  Why do we always feel so more joyous coming down through the weights than we do when we are going up???   I think it is because we know that this weight is a stepping stone to a new lower weight and we are in control...whereas on the way up...who knows where it will end???  All the constant dieting (Mondays were always a new diet day!!!) and the self hate and self loathing!!!  I like the journey down better.

I think I am a true size 16 now...I am fitting into some of my old size 16's which is exciting and even a few dresses...just need to boobies to go down a little please...as I am also very broad in the back.  I have had quite a few people notice the loss now too....2 girls at Tafe and a girl at work...not in my uniform but when I went into work in normal clothes.  Even my foot specialist was impressed (he noticed I didn't tell him) and I think that it can only help my foot...so these are all great NSV's.  Another great one is that when I started my job in August my uniform was very firm fitting and as I went up the scale I had to get a bigger size....well yesterday I tried on the smaller size and it fits better than when I started my job!!!!!  Whoooo hooooo.

No exercise this week as Emma is still sick so hopefully I can make up some classes on Friday or Saturday if she is better.  I have a treadmill for these occasions but am not allowed to do walking yet.....just swimming or deep aqua.

So I am just going to leave you with some pictures of my gorgeous girls...here they are out the front of Parliment House in Canberra...looking back to the Old Parliment House and the War Memorial.

And here is Emma pretending to sleep in the closet in our hotel.  The funny thing is we only booked for 4 people but then Jordan (my step son) decided he would stay with us and there was no room for another bed.  We were just going to squeeze in for a night and then Emma did this little joke.  Well DH actually slep in here and said it was comfy.....it was just so funny that he actually slept in the wardrobe.
Still trying to catch up on the blogs.....but have the day at home so should be done by tonight.  Hope your journey's are going well especially all the banding newbies.

Too many toilets!!!

Well we had a wonderful weekend away except that I could barely eat and when I did I inevitably ended up driving the procelain bus!!!  (You know PB'ed in the toilets!!!)

It seems to have settled down yesterday but I get on the scales this morning.....same.  So i have just spent the last 4 days practically not eating only to find no joy for all my considerable displeasure!!!  Arggggghhhhhh!!!

I found that I could barely drink a cuppa tea in the morning and when I was finally hungry...no one else was so I would have a skim cap or lots of water and then when we finally ate the choices were yuck...like Macca's (yes that is McDonalds), a really lousy Caesar Salad and again Macca's...boy I way annoyed with so much Macca's...the kids don't need it either.  One night I had a nibble of hard bread and was full...PBed and then could eat dinner.  The next night I had about 6 tiny bites of salmon and was in the toilets bringing it all back up...only to then be able to eat some more.

Yesterday was better though...had a cheesestik at 9.30am then some left over Chicken Totilla Soup at 11.30am some strawberries and yogurt at 3.30pm and then a salmon pattie and some cauliflower mash for dinner at 6.30pm....that's it and about 1/2-1 cup servings.

The weekend was great...we visited my step son who goes to Uni down in Canberra and spent the night with him.  The next morning while hubby and son were sleeping off their hangovers the girls and I went for a swim and a spa...yum.  Then off to Parliment House and Questacon.  We were exhausted by the end of the day.  Questacon is a science type place where you learn all about things like dinosaurs, the earth (tsunami's and quakes), measurement and perceptions of things...stuff like that.  Boy my brain was tired by the end of it all....we then went out for a quick meal and another swim and spa session.

The next day we went for a beautiful ride around Lake Burleigh Griffith and hit some really cool markets where I bought another necklace....seems I have an addiction here while I wait for more of my clothes to fit!!!!  We could also sample some of the food there so I had a nut or some cheese...tiny bits thats all.

Well that will have to be it for now....Emma is home sick and of course I have to work today so I need to get her to my mum's...I am still trying hard to catch up on blogs but have been leaving short comments....I still care though!!!

UPDATE:  Am much hungrier today!!!  Had some muesli at about 8am because I woke up hungry...didn't get much in but still a huge difference between nothing till 12 md and breakfast.  Very strange indeed!!!  How can it be so all or nothing???

Take care...
